Crash causes Kano, Akwa postponement

I wait for the day our train services will be good enough for our players to move or the road be safe enough for that.......

The Glo Premier League Week 23 game between Kano Pillars and Akwa United that was supposed to hold on Sunday has been postponed by the League Management Company

The game was postponed as a result of the car crash that left three coaches of the Nigerian champions hospitalized.

Chairman of the LMC Nduka Irabor confirmed the postponement of the game on Friday. He also disclosed that he was already in touch with the management of Pillars.
"We have agreed with Akwa United that this weekend’s Glo League fixture between the two teams be postponed to allow Pillars recover from the trauma.
"We commend officials of Akwa for showing an understanding of the situation; it was a great demonstration of sportsmanship from them to readily agree to the postponement which was coming on very short notice." Irabor said.
