Netherlands have moved up to fifth place in the Fifa world ranking as Spain continue to lead the standings ahead of Germany, Argentina and Croatia.
There were no changes in the top four, but Louis van Gaal's men benefited from the devaluation of older matches and consequently moved up four places at the expense of Portugal (sixth), Colombia (seventh), Italy (eighth) and England (ninth), despite not playing any games themselves.
Ecuador, meanwhile, complete the top 10 as South America's third-placed team in the ranking, while 2014 World Cup hosts Brazil sit at their lowest-ever position in 22nd.
Cote d'Ivoire dropped one place and now sit 13th, but they remain the highest placed African team, ahead of Ghana (21st) and Mali (23th).
Japan, who secured qualification for next year's World Cup earlier this week, are Asia's top representative in 32nd position, followed by South Korea in 40th place.
