Mazzarri the right choice for Inter, says Vialli

The 48-year-old has little doubt that the former Napoli boss can help the Nerazzurri back to the top again next season after Andrea Stramaccioni's sacking
Gianluca Vialli is confident that Walter Mazzarri has what it takes to succeed at Inter after he was appointed as the new man in charge at the Giuseppe Meazza side last week.

The Nerazzurri opted to part company with Andrea Stramaccioni after a disappointing 2012-13 campaign, naming the former Napoli trainer as their new head coach shortly after, and the former Italy star believes the 51-year-old will succeed at San Siro.

"Mazzarri is the right man for Inter in my opinion," Vialli was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.

"Inter picked him for a reason. He has shown at Napoli that he has plenty of charisma and quality. He did a fine job at Napoli.

"Inter will have taken that into consideration when they hired him."

The 51-year-old Mazzarri guided Napoli to second place in Serie A in 2012-13 after previously steering them to the Champions League round of 16 in 2011-12.
